Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga (Music from the Netflix Film) Tracklist:
And yet. McAdams deserves an oscar for best actress. So much better than As good as it gets. Comedy(the elves went too far) and drama(bc i know that im more than this contest). Sandren, et al for best song. I am rationing its play so as not to burn out on it. So hard though when its like emotional heroine. Critics should watch again and take a mulligan. 2nd in laughs to talladega nights but twice the heart of elf. And again, rachel is just not of our species anymore. Gotta be best ferrell movie.
The film is goofy, daft but throughly fun. We need this kind of humour with the state of the world right now. I grew up in the UK so Eurovision is part of my culture and this brings it all back to me. The soundtrack is brilliant. Very clever to keep some of the entrants' songs to under two minutes allowing for more tracks on the album from the film. It's very Europop and works so well with the film (obvs). You can't help but tap your feet and singalong! And I'm a London Punk! Gawd! I'm checking you out...
It’s definitely a slow burn kind of movie, but so very worth it in the end. Such a great fun movie. And I am beyond thrilled there’s a soundtrack. I’m living for all of these songs!!! So excited.
I never thought I’d say this about a Will Ferrell movie soundtrack but this was fantastic. The serious songs are seriously amazing and the funny songs are perfectly done. This album has legitimately good music on it that.
I was hoping for some silly fun but ended with one of the best movies and sound tracks ever. The movie radiated JOY! My face literally hurts from smiling. Thank you so much to the cast and crew for this much needed reprieve from the craziness of reality today. I will be recommending this to all and will be watching over and over!
Watched the movie last night because it was trending on Twitter, but I almost turned it off because it was kind of stupid. But I kept watching because the Iceland scenery was so lush and gorgeous. AND OMG IM SO GLAD I KEPT WATCHING BECAUSE I WAS CRYING BY THE END OF THE MOVIE! Chills. Literal chills when she sang Husavik. I’m American, but I felt a weird sense of Icelandic pride? Like??? I feel the northern lights and the song of the gentle whale people in my blood??! What is happening? How did a dumb Will Ferrel movie do this to me?! So I bought it and been listening to this album non stop for the past 12 hours straight. Please nominate Husavik for all the awards- Grammy, Oscar, Emmy, whatever. Ugh obsessed
So, two & a half hours ago, my husband started this movie I’d never heard of. Fifteen minutes in, I was hooked. By the end, we were raising our glasses and singing along to Jaja Ding Dong. Watch this movie! Then buy the soundtrack! It was just the the funny, heartwarming movie we needed tonight!
The movie is great and all, but the music, and soundtrack are a prime factor in what makes this movie worth the while! Highlights of the album for me would have to be "Double Trouble (Film Version)", "Song-A-Long" (the scene in the film is absolutely glorious by the way), "In The Mirror", and the hauntingly stunning finale song "Husavik"!
